BOWDOIN, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington Women's Cross Country team competed in the Bowdoin Invitational this morning, finishing in seventh place out of the 11 teams that raced with 197 points.
The Beavers were paced by sophomore Charlotte Wentworth (Sidney, Maine) who finished the 6k in 37th place with a time of 25:13.4. The finish from Wentworth is the 10th fastest in program history. Wentworth was followed by sophomore Anna MacDonald (Bangor, Maine) who raced to a 25:54.0 finish, good for 50th place.
Eve Poteet (Fairhill, Maryland), Angie Tehuitzil (Northglenn, Colo.), Emily Eaton (Hampton, N.H.), and Sarah Chapin (Readfield, Maine) also finished the race for the Beavers. Poteet finished with a 28:17.2, Tehuitzil a 29:01.8, Eaton a 30:33.0, and Chapin a 31:08.6.
The Tufts University Jumbos took first place this morning as they finished with 22 points and six of the top eight racers this morning. Tufts' Carly Rinko (Merrimack, N.H.) finished in first place with a time of 23:00.3.
