AUBURN, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team took 2nd place for the 3rd time this season on Friday evening at Lost Valley. Friday night was a Reynolds Division slalom even under the lights.
The Beavers placed 2nd with 18 place points with a composite time of 3:09.49. Saint Joseph's College of Maine came in 1st place as they claimed 6 place points with the top three individual finishers and a composite time of 3:04.54.
Simon Spear (Boothbay, Maine) came in 4th place with a two-run time of 1:02.26. Spear finished his 1st run in 31.53 seconds before dropping down to 30.73 in his 2nd run.
Lake Lindelof (Belfast, Maine) finished in 6th place with a time of 1:03.25. Lindelof was consistent in each of his runs. His 1st finish was in 31.97 and then dropped to 31.28 in his 2nd.
Colgan O'Keefe (Westchester, N.Y.) was the 3rd Beaver to contribute to their three-person score finishing his two runs in a cumulative time of 1:03.98.
William Strobeck of Saint Joe's finished in 1st individually with a two-run time of 1:00.68. Strobeck's 1st run was the fastest run of the day as he finished in 30.17 seconds.
UP NEXT
The Beavers will head to Pleasant Mountain to compete in both slalom and giant slalom. The first event begins at 10 AM.
