MORRISVILLE, New York - The University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse team dropped their second North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game of the season this afternoon on the roads at the hands of SUNY Morrisville. The Mustangs topped the Beavers, 21-4 as the Beavers fell to 3-5 on the season.

Morrisville took command of the game early, scoring seven goals in the 1st quarter, and 12 straight goals to jump out to a big 12-0 lead before first-year Emma Dunn (Farmington, Maine) found the back of the net on a feed from Lydia Eastman (Chelsea, Vermont) to put an end to the Mustangs run.

Alana McDonald opened the scoring for the Mustangs just a minute and 56 seconds into the game, scoring an unassisted marker to stake Morrisville to the early lead. McDonald added her 2nd goal four minutes later to double the Mustang lead.

With the Mustangs clinging to a 4-0 lead, Maddie Baum scored a pair of goals and Alexa Ringgold added a goal of her own in the final two minutes of play to lead Morrisville to a 7-0 lead after the opening 15 minutes.

Baum and McDonald each scored a pair of goals and Jazlyn Leet added one of her own to extend the Mustangs' lead to 12-0 before Dunn's goal.

Baum, McDonald, and Anyssia Ingersoll scored goals in the 3rd quarter, extending Morrisville's lead through 45 minutes up to 16-1.

A pair of goals from Alexa Ringgold and Leet 20 seconds apart in the opening minutes of the 4th quarter opened the lead up to 19-1.

Sophomore attacker Ruby McMinis (Wells, Maine) put an end to the Mustang run, scoring her team-leading 22nd goal of the season. Ashlee Farrar (South Paris, Maine) added a pair of goals in the 4th quarter for the Beavers. Farrar is 2nd on the team in goals with 18.
