BANGOR, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Husson University on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play at Boucher Field. The Beavers battled hard throughout the match but were unable to slow a high-powered Eagles offense that generated 30 total shots in the contest.

With the loss, Farmington dropped to 8-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 in NAC play, while Husson improved to 10-4-1 (6-0-1 NAC).
How It Happened:
Husson opened the scoring in the 26th minute when senior forward Devon St. Louis found the back of the net off an assist from Paige Dunn, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Farmington goalkeeper
Paige Gonya (Sabattus, Maine) kept the Beavers within reach during the remainder of the first half, making multiple key saves, including two diving stops on close-range attempts. Husson struck the crossbar and post late in the period but carried a one-goal advantage into halftime.
The Eagles doubled their lead in the 63rd minute as Jaquie Pangburn slotted home a low shot inside the left post, assisted by Rylee Speed. Pangburn later added her second goal of the afternoon in the 83rd minute, once again set up by Speed, to make it 3-0.
Farmington's lone shot came from junior midfielder
Rita Benoit (Hallowell, Maine) midway through the second half, while the Beavers earned three corner kicks but couldn't convert against the Husson defense. Gonya finished with 12 saves on 30 shots faced to highlight another strong effort in goal.
