WATERVILLE, Maine – For the second time this season, University of Maine at Farmington junior standout Andrew LaFlamme (Nashua, N.H.) has earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Runner of the Week honors.
At the NAC Preview Meet on Saturday at Saxl Park in Bangor, Maine, LaFlamme topped the field and helped lead the Beavers to a first-place team finish. He was the only runner to complete the 8K course in under 27 minutes, posting a winning time of 26:49.6. LaFlamme averaged 5:23.8 per mile in the race.
LaFlamme has been off to a torrid start this season, earning first place in two of the three races the Beavers have competed in. He will look to continue that momentum this weekend when Farmington travels to Westfield State University for the James Earley Invitational.
