Farmington Suffers NAC Semifinal Loss at Lesley

LEXINGTON, Massachusetts – The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team saw its 2025 season come to an end on Saturday evening, suffering a 4-0 loss to Lesley University in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) semifinal contest.

How it Happened:

The Beavers surrendered a goal just one minute and 13 seconds into the game and were unable to recover from the early deficit. Zoe Curtaz opened the scoring for the Lynx, blasting a left-footed shot into the top left corner off a feed from Kyle Chagnon.

Despite the early setback, Farmington settled in defensively, but Lesley doubled its lead in the 28th minute. Following a Beaver foul on the right wing, Curtaz served a free kick into the box that found the foot of Elsie Koehler, who tucked home the Lynx's second goal to make it 2-0.

In the 37th minute, Ella Stanley extended the lead to 3-0, winning a header off a corner kick taken by Leecy Cruz.

Farmington struggled to generate offense in the first half, being outshot 12-1 through the opening 45 minutes of play.

The Beavers created more opportunities in the second half, registering four shots—three of them on target—but were unable to break through.

Marissa De La Rosa capped the scoring for Lesley, taking a feed from Curtaz and firing a shot past the outstretched arms of Farmington senior goalkeeper Paige Gonya (Sabattus, Maine) to make it 4-0.
