HOPKINTON, N.H. – The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team capped off its 2025 season with a 21st-place finish on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division III East Region Championship. The top five finishers for the Beavers averaged a time of 25:42 for the 6K.

Tufts University topped the field, placing its top five runners inside the top 15. Kate Sanderson of MIT won the individual title, completing the 6K in 21:20.1.

Beavers Runners:

North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Runner of the Year Lina Martinez Nocito (Mt. Vernon, Maine) led the Beavers once again, breaking the program record for a 6K with a time of 22:49.3. Martinez Nocito finished 39th overall and averaged 6:07.3 per mile.

Senior Eve Poteet (Fairhill, Md.) closed out her collegiate career on a high note, placing 129th out of 214 runners. Poteet completed the 6K in 25:31.9, averaging 6:50.9 per mile.

The third Beaver across the finish line was first-year Dellaney Flower (Farmington, Conn.), who ran 25:54.7, 23 seconds behind Poteet. Flower placed 142nd and averaged 6:57 per mile.

First-year and NAC Rookie of the Year Kaylee Johnston finished 153rd with a time of 26:11.3, averaging 7:01.4 per mile.

The fifth Beaver to score for UMF was first-year Loralie Grady (Windsor, Maine), who placed 185th with a time of 28:03.0. Fellow first-year Abbie Dumont (Windham, Maine) finished just five seconds later in 28:08.1, placing 186th.

Abby MacDonald (Bangor, Maine) rounded out the UMF runners with a 197th-place finish in 29:54.8.
