Martinez Nocito Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors, Women’s Cross Garners All-Academic Team Award

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - On Thursday, January 30th, the University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team was named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team while junior standout Lina Martinez Nocito (Mt. Vernon, Maine) received All-Academic individual honors.

Martinez Nocito becomes the second athlete in program history and the first since Covy Dufort '23 received the honor in 2022. USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete Honors are awarded to athletes who finish inside the top 25% of their regional event as well as holding a cumulative GPA of a 3.30 or better on a 4.0 scale.

The team award is given to NCAA Division III institutions who hold a cumulative team GPA of a 3.10 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
