AUBURN, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team earned its second victory of the weekend after placing three skiers among the top four finishers in Sunday's Reynolds Division slalom event held at Lost Valley.
The Beavers' three scoring skiers combined for a time of 3:00.74, earning seven place points in the victory. Saint Joseph's College of Maine placed second, while Bowdoin College rounded out the field in third.

Farmington was led by senior Sam Roy (Lakeville, Maine), who earned his second medal of the weekend. Roy captured a silver medal on Friday in the giant slalom at Cannon Mountain but jumped a spot on Sunday, earning his first gold medal of the season. Roy was the fastest skier on the course in both runs, finishing the first in 30.33 seconds and the second in 28.89 seconds for a total time of 59.22 seconds.
First-year standout Magnus Riggs (Fletcher, Vt.) finished less than seven-hundredths of a second behind Roy to earn his first collegiate podium, placing second overall. Riggs posted a strong 30.52-second first run and followed with a 29.39-second second run, combining for a total time of 59.91 seconds.
Junior Chase Raven (Hudson, Wisc.) was the third Beaver to score for the team, finishing fourth overall, just one place shy of the podium. Raven delivered a pair of consistent runs to help lead the Beavers to the team win. His two runs combined for a total time of 1:01.61, with a first-run time of 31.12 seconds and a second-run time of 30.49 seconds.
