How it Happened:

Farmington controlled the play from the outset. During the opening 20 minutes of action, Farmington fired off seven shots, only two of which were on target and forcing Johnson goalkeeper Zane Cooper to make a save.

The Beavers doubled their advantage just four minutes later as Star Boma (Caribou, Maine) scored off a pass from Jackson Landry (Gorham, Maine), sending Farmington into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Farmington did not let off the gas in the second half. Fred Coit (Blue Hill, Maine) scored his first goal of the season in the 52nd minute to extend the Beavers' lead to 3-0.

Vermont State Johnson responded in the 55th minute when Oakley Francis converted a penalty kick after the Beavers were whistled for a hand ball in the box to cut the deficit to 3-1.

The Beavers maintained control, however, and added an insurance goal in the 73rd minute when Vishal Mellor (Union, Maine) found the back of the net off an assist from Landry, his second of the afternoon, sealing the 4-1 victory.
