Seven Finish in the Top-10, Beavers Claim First Place at Kents Hill

KENTS HILL, Maine - For the seventh time in as many races this season, the University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team claimed first place in a Reynolds Division event, this time in a slalom race hosted at the Joanne & Dick O'Connor Alpine Training Center at Kents Hill.

The Beavers were once again led by the trio of Lance Dolan (Coplin Plantation, Maine), Sam Roy (Frenchville, Maine), and Magnus Riggs (Fletcher, Vt.), who were the three skiers contributing to the team's overall placement. In total, Farmington had seven racers finish inside the top 10 to cap a dominant day.

Beaver Skiers:

Dolan claimed the top spot on the podium on Saturday, thanks in part to an extremely efficient first run. He completed his opening run in 28.89 seconds, more than three tenths of a second faster than any other skier on the course. Dolan followed with a 30.37-second second run, combining for a total time of 59.26 seconds in his first-place effort.

Roy posted a pair of consistent runs en route to a second-place finish and the silver medal. He finished his first run in 29.41 seconds before clocking a 30.02-second second run. Roy was the third-fastest skier on the first run and the second-fastest on the second. Overall, he finished with a combined time of 59.44 seconds.

Riggs narrowly missed a spot on the podium, finishing fourth and just 0.14 seconds out of third place. He posted a first run of 29.21 seconds and a second run of 30.46 seconds for a combined time of 59.67 seconds.

As a team, Dolan, Roy, and Riggs combined for a time of 2:58.37 to top the field, finishing four seconds ahead of Saint Joseph's College of Maine, which earned second place.
