Paglianite Wins NAC Rookie of the Week

WATERVILLE, Maine — University of Maine at Farmington first-year outfielder Ava Paglianite (Upper Black Eddy, Pa.) has been named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week.

Over the course of the week, Paglianite started all four games for the Beavers, tallying four hits while posting a .363 batting average and a .533 on-base percentage.

To open the week, Paglianite recorded her first career multi-hit game against Ursinus, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored to help the Beavers secure their first win of the season. Shortly after, UMF faced UMass Dartmouth, where she went 1-for-2 with a walk.

The following day, the Beavers earned another win against Alverno, with Paglianite reaching base three times on one hit and two walks, while also recording her first career RBI. She closed out her first Florida trip with the team by scoring a run and drawing a walk against Edgewood University.

So far this season, Paglianite is batting .357 and leads the team in on-base percentage (.591) and walks (8).

UMF's next game will take place in Brunswick, Maine, as they face Bowdoin College in a doubleheader on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m.
