WATERVILLE, Maine - For the second consecutive week, University of Maine at Farmington cross country tandem of senior Lina Martinez Nocito (Mt. Vernon, Maine) and first-year Amelia Hill (Jaffrey, N.H.) were named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Runner and Rookie of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Martinez Nocito continued to dominate this past weekend, pacing the field and placing first overall at Saturday's NAC Championship Preview Meet held in Farmington. Martinez Nocito finished the 6K event in 24:37.7, averaging 6:36.3 per mile.

Hill earned second place overall, finishing the course in 25:26.2 and averaging 6:49.4 per mile for the race.

Martinez Nocito and Hill helped lead the Beavers to a second-place finish as a team, posting 35 points, just five behind first-place Husson University.

Martinez Nocito, Hill and the rest of the Farmington women's cross country team will return to action this Saturday at the Maine State Championship hosted by Bowdoin College.
