Derek McLaughlin joined the men's soccer program as an Assistant Coach prior to the start of the 2022 season following spending one season as a volunteer assistant for the program. McLaughlin played three seasons of soccer at Farmington from 2018-2020 as a defenseman. McLaughlin resides in Farmington and is a physical education teacher at Mt. Blue High School. Hart is very pleased to name McLaughlin as his assistant coach stating, "this is Derek's second year of coaching in our Men's Soccer program and he has thrived in this role. Derek possesses strong qualities that allow him to connect and build strong relationships with our athletes. His strength and conditioning knowledge has been important to our success allowing our guys to stay fresh and laser focused throughout the long season. Derek also provides the needed energy to fire up our team to help them to compete at the highest level."
