Men's golf fourth at States

FARMINGTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's golf team placed fourth at the Maine Intercollegiate Championships this weekend at Boothbay Country Club.

University of New England captured its first state crown with a two-day total of 638. The Nor'Easters were followed by Husson University (640), Colby College (649), the Beavers (650), Bates College (652), University of Southern Maine (655), St. Joseph's College (661), Bowdoin College (664) and University of Maine at Presque Isle (705).

Trip Huber of Colby College was the medalist with a 150 after matching cards with USM's Aiden Boyce.

The Beavers are scheduled to compete in St. Joseph's John Queenan Memorial on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
