ORONO -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's golf team finished second at the Husson University Invitational today at Penobscot Valley Country Club.

Husson (Gold) won the competition with 310 followed by the Beavers at 323, University of Southern Maine at 331 and Husson (Green) at 369.

Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, Maine) was Farmington's top finisher at 77. Orion Cochrane (Greenville, Maine) carded a 79 followed by Rich Matthews (Portland, Maine) at 82, Reid Bond (Farmington, Maine) at 85 and Joe Messerman (Brunswick, Maine) at 86.

The Beavers are scheduled to compete at Colby College Invitational Saturday at Waterville Country Club. Teams are tabbed to tee off at noon.
