Cochrane ties for fourth at Maine Intercollegiate Championships

CUMBERLAND, Maine -- University of Maine at Farmington's Orion Cochrane (Greenville, Maine) tied for fourth place at the Maine Intercollegiate Golf Championships at Val Halla this weekend.

Husson University won the event with a two-day team total of 600 followed by Bowdoin College (636), University of Southern Maine (651) and University of New England (651). UMF finished in 11th at 708.

Cochrane coupled an opening round 76 with a 75 today for a 151 to lead the Beavers. Jacob Roddy (Belgrade, Maine) at 80-81-161, David Berthiaume (Allenstown, N.H.) at 99-100-199 and Daniel Zmistowski (Old Town, Maine) at 110-92-202 completed UMF's scoring.

Individually, Bobby Kaminski of Bowdoin was the men's medalist, finishing at 72-75-147.
