GORHAM, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's golf team tied for fourth place at the two-day Southern Maine Fall Classic at Gorham Country Club.
Endicott College won the team portion at 585, edging Husson University (587). University of New England (624), the Beavers (629) and the host Huskies (629) were also near the front of a nine-team field.
Orion Cochrane (Greenville, Maine) with a total of 150 (74-76) to lead UMF followed by Joe Messerman (Brunswick, Maine) at 157 (75-82) and Jacob Roddy (Belgrade, Maine) at 160 (78-82). Cameron Audet (Windham, Maine) and Daniel Zmistowski (Old Town, Maine) each turned in a 169 for the Beavers.
Endicott's Jack Wyman garnered medalist honors at 141.
The Beavers are scheduled return to Gorham Friday for the Southern Maine Cup.
