COMPLETE 2013 UMAINE-FARMINGTON GOLF INVITATIONAL RESULTS

NEWRY, Maine – Husson University took first overall and the Eagles' Bill Hutchins was the medalist at the 2013 University of Maine at Farmington Invitational, held Thursday at the Sunday River Golf Club.

Hutchins shot par on the par 72, 6,558-yard Sunday River course, leading a Husson contingent that finished 1-2-3 in the tournament. Porter Gervais and Greg Martin were tied for second, each shooting 74 (+2).

UMaine-Farmington's Joe Messerman was tied for fourth after carding a 75, along with Thomas College's Adam Bedard and Maine Maritime Academy's Keenan Kaltoff.

Overall, Husson posted a 296 to capture team honors in the event, while the host UMF squad was fourth after carding a 320. The University of Southern Maine and Maine Maritime were tied for second (318), three strokes ahead of UMaine-Farmington.

The University of New England (323), Saint Joseph's College (326), Bates College (351), and Thomas College (356) rounded out the field.
