LAST MEETING WITH THE EAGLES
The Beavers scored two second half goals on their way to a 3-1 victory last year. Avalon Amadorgave UMF the lead in the 23rd minute. Husson tied things up when Desir'ree Hamler netted the equalizer in the 34th minute.
Kayla Tuttle gave the Beavers the lead in the 68th and Amador added her second goal of the game with seven ticks left on the clock to give UMF the final 3-1 margin.
UMaine-Farmington had a commanding 22-8 advantage in total shots taken, including a 17-4 lead in shots on goal.
ALL-TIME VS HUSSON
UMF owns the all-time series with Husson, 26-13-2. Prior to the 3-1 win last season, the Beavers had not beat Husson since 2010. From 1986-1995, the Beavers were an unprecedented 12-1-1, but are 14-12-1 since.
SWEET OCTOBER
UMF's current four-game win streak began at the turn of the calendar. The Beavers are 12-6-2 in the month of October dating back to 2012, excluding NAC Tournament games. During that stretch, UMF has at least a three-game win streak on three separate occasions.
ALEXANDRA THE GREAT
Alexandra Crocker was named the NAC Player of the Week on Monday. Crocker tallied six points this week and helping lead the Beavers earn two conference road victories this week. The senior netted two goals in a 3-0 victory over Maine Maritime and added one more goal in a 3-1 victory over Thomas. The senior leads the team with five goals, four of which have been scored during UMF's last three games.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles come into Saturday's off a 3-1 loss to Bates in the program's 450th game in program history. The loss snapped a six-game win streak and Husson sits tied for second with UMF in the NAC standings, just a half game behind Colby-Sawyer.
ALL-TIME VS OWLS
UMF has owned the all-time series against the Owls with a, 18-7-4 record and have not lost to UMPI since 1994. The streak was nearly snapped in 2002, but the game needed overtime and ended in a 2-2 tie.
LAST MEETING WITH THE OWLS
UMF seniors Kayla Tuttle and Renee Dupre each scored twice to lead the Beavers to a 9-0 last September.
Junior Alexandra Crocker scored the Beavers' first goal in the sixth minute off a corner kick by freshman Brittney Sieg. Tuttle scored her first goal also off a corner kick in the 18th minute, and freshman Bridget Humphrey put UMaine-Farmington in front 3-0 in the 24th minute off a cross from junior Ava Amador.
Dupre netted her first goal of the day in the 37th minute off an assist from Tuttle, and sophomore Dayle Jordan rounded out the first half scoring with her first collegiate goal in the 41st minute.
Amador, Tuttle, and Dupre added goals in the second half, with Sarah Pokorny netting the final goal in the 82nd minute.
The Beavers outshot UMPI 38-3. UMaine-Farmington also had seven corner kicks to UMPI's two.
PLAYERS TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND
For Husson, the Beavers defense will have to be aware of Leah Hibbad, who is second in the conference with 11 goals and 24 points. Hibbad has found the back of the net in five of the last six games for the Eagles.
For UMPI, the Owls are led by freshman Sam Nadeau with 10 goals this season. Nadeau has scored in six of UMPI's 10 games this season and scored three goals in one game on two separate occasions.
For UMF, sophomore Bridget Humphrey has been an influence to the Beavers offense of late. Humphrey dished two assists in the win over Thomas a week ago and scored a goal in wins over Maine Maritime and Johnson State.
