BRUNSWICK, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington golf finished 11th overall at the Bowdoin Invitational over the weekend, hosted at the Brunswick Golf Club.
Eric Aguiar (Thornton, N.H./Plymouth Reginal) paced the Beavers with in 37th place out of 59 golfers with a 164 for the tournament. Michael Richard (Turner, Maine/St. Dominic Academy) and Gavin Brickley (Plymouth, N.H./Plymouth Regional) trailed Aguiar by only two strokes to card a 166 and landed in a three-person tie for 39th place.
Trevor Hisler (Skowhegan, Maine/Skowhegan) completed the two-day event with a 178 for a 52nd place finish and Nick Cartmell (Freeport,Maine/Freeport) rounded out UMF's scoring with a 189 and 55th place finish.
UMF finished Saturday's round one with a 338 and improved its team score by two strokes at the end of Sunday's final round for a total score of 674.
UMaine-Farmington will compete in the UMF Invitational on Wednesday at the Waterville Country Club.
