Box Score Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington fell to the Maine Maritime in the last regular season home game by a score of 1-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Bob Leib Field Tuesday.
BY THE NUMBERS
The Mariners outshot the Beavers 12-10 with eight shots in the first and four in the second half. The Beavers held the advantage in saves with eight while the Mariners had four. Each team had four fouls during the contest while Maine Maritime had seven penalty corners to Farmington's five.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Midway through the first half, Makayla Lewis drew a foul just outside of the box to get a free position kick. Lewis kicked the ball on the ground and to the left, just out of the defenders reach and past Kiana Thompson (7-8) to give the Mariners the 1-0 advantage early.
Emily Conway was solid in net for Maine Maritime with four saves.
