Fitchburg, Mass. - UMaine Farmington placed seventh out of 23 teams total, second out of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) schools competing.
Today Sean Cabaniss qualified for the New England Championship in long jump with a leap of 6.41 placing 3rd. Joining him was teammate Zack Lavoie in triple jump, jumping 12.98. Zack Lavoie also had a personal best in long jump with 5.81.
Shane Hathaway and Alan Young threw for personal records in the Javelin today. Hathaway broke the school record with a throw of 43.13. Hathaway also placed 6th in 400 hurdles with a time of 59.87. Young rounded out his day in the high jump clearing 5 feet 8 inches.
Robbie Hollis had a great day in the distance department running his 1500 in 4:13.92 placing 3rd. He also ran the 5k in 15.55.46 snagging 3rd.
The Men's 4x400 meter relay and 4x100 meter relay both ran season bests today as well. The
Beavers are back in action at the Maine State Championship next Saturday at Bates College.
