GORHAM, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington Golf team opened it's 2017 season with a third place finish on Friday afternoon at the Gorham Country Club. The Beavers finished six strokes behind first place University of Southern Maine and second place St. Joseph's College Monks.
Senior Eric Agular lead UMF with a 78, two strokes behind the low round of 76 by USM's Grayson Waterman. Gavin Brickley and Trevor Hisler posted solid scores of 80 to keep the Beavers in contention. Mike Richards contributed a score of 82 for UMF.
UMF returns to action on Tuesday (10:00 a.m.) when it tees off at the St. Joseph's College John Queenan Memorial Tournament at Pt. Sebago Country Club in Casco, Maine.
