New London, N.H. - UMaine-Farmington took third place at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Track and Field Championships on Sunday afternoon.

On a very rainy day, the men's team was lead by Senior Shane Hathaway as he competed in six individual events and a relay. Hathaway tallied 35 points on the day winning the triple jump, placing 2nd in 400 hurdles, 3rd in long jumps and high jump 4th in 110-meter hurdles and 6th in Javelin as well as anchoring the 4x100. Corey Martin won the 400 hurdles followed by Hathaway and Abukadir and was edged out into 5th in 110-meter hurdles by .03 to Hathaway.

David Doering earned 2nd in the 800 and won the 1500 meter run. Ben Toribio had a personal record of almost a meter to earn himself a second place in the triple jump. Ethan Solis was runner-up in the 400 followed closely by Alfred Odong and Abshir Abukadir who placed 3rd and 5th. Connor Marland and Thomas Dupuy earned points in the steeplechase. The men's 4x400 finished out the track events winning the event. The men placed 3rd overall today scoring 127 points.
