BRUNSWICK, Maine -- University of Maine at Farmington golf team finished in 10th place at the Bowdoin College Invitational with a two-day score of 658.
Senior Eric Aguiar lead the Beavers over the two-day tournament shooting an even-par 72 on day one and following that up shooting a 78 on day two. Aguiar finished in sixth place, only six shots behind winner Tristan Dundas of the University of Southern Maine.
The Beavers finished 10th among the 12 teams in the final standings with a two-day score of 658 (328-330). First-day leader Saint Anselm College took the team honor with a score of 603 (303-300), three shots ahead of runner-up Providence College (309-297). Endicott College (304-306) and Nichols College (310-300) tied for third place at 610.
UMF junior Matt Pelletier finished in a three-way tie for 41st place with a two-day total of 165 (85-80). Classmate Justin Rodrigue completed the 36-hole tournament at 166 (83-83) to tie for 44th place, and sophomore Charlie De Hass posted a score of 182 (93-89).
The Beavers hit the road on Tuesday traveling to the Waterville CC to play in the Thomas College Invitational.
