Beavers Open Season in Vermont

Okemo Mountain, Vt. - UMaine-Farmington had a great opening weekend at the USCSA MacConnell Division SL race today in Okemo, Vermont.

The athletes finished respectively with Erin Guilmet running a 59.31 in race one and a 56.52 in the second race for a total time of 1:55.83 for 36th place. Jenny Hancock finished in 40th palce with a 1:02.31 and 58.83 for a total time of 2:01.14. 

Alicia Gaiero took 46th place with a time of of 1:07.81 and 1:02.98 for a total of 2:10.79. 

Coach Willihan said "The team is in good shape and showed great poise today while skiing on the hill none of them have been to yet. We look forward to building on our successful moments today and making adjustments to where we fell shot."

The Beavers take on Okemo's GS hill tomorrow, Friday, January 11th.
