Golf Team Finishes Sixth at Thomas Invitational

WATERVILLE, Maine - UMaine-Farmington golf team took sixth in the Thomas Invitational at the Waterville Country Club. Seniors Matt Pelletier and Justin Rodrigue led the Beavers carding an 82 and 84 respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • USM finished first in the event with Greg Kalagais taking low medalist with an even-par 70.
  • UNE's Tom Higgins finished in second place and teammate Dylan Andrews finished in fourth to help the Nor'easters take second.
  • Pelletier finished tied for 15th and Rodrigue ended the day tied for 19th to help UMF to the sixth-place finish.
  • Charles De Hass was one shot back (85) and finished the day tied for 21st
  • Alan Baker carded a 90 and Nate Poulin came in with a 93 to finish the scoring for the Beavers.

UP NEXT

UMF will travel to Bangor and compete against Husson on Saturday, September 21st before hosting the UMF Invitational on Sunday, September 22nd at the Waterville Country Club.
