Gorham, Maine - UMaine-Farmington's men's track and field team took third place at the USM Invitational today with a total of 71 points.
Justin Castaldo and Alixx Canwell each notched a school record with Castaldo taking second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.55. Canwell took the school record in both shot put and weight throwing with 12.15 meters and 12.52 meters, taking second place in both events.
Covy Dufort notched a second-place finish in the mile run and a fourth-place finish on the indoor top 10 list, running a 4:47.06. Antonio Ciccomancini finished second in the 55-meter dash with a 6.82 and finished second in the 200 a 23.63. Abu Abu added a second-place finished in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.73.
Isiaah Boria added a 4th place finish and a personal record in the weight throw with a distance of 10.02 meters to make him second all-time on the record books while Alex Sheran took sixth in the shot put.
The relay team took third place with Sam True, Justin Castaldo, Joe Ashby, and Luke Bliss with a time of 11:49.61 as the men's 4*200 team took third place with Antonio Ciccomancini, Abu Abu, Caeden Bross, and Abshir Abukar.
