Auburn, Maine - On Friday, 2/26, the UMF Freeride team competed in a USASA Railjam at Lost Valley in Auburn. Sophomore Ryan Brueninghaus competed in the Men's Open Class, finishing 1st in his class and 2nd overall. Brueninghaus' disastered the flat-down feature, and nose buttered to 270 onto the down rail, coming off switch.
Freshman Carson Theriault competed well too, coming in 5th place in the 14-22 Open Class. Theriault was consistent throughout the competition, with his backslides on the down rail, and he threw in a switch 270 disaster on the flat-down feature to start the competition off. The Beavers compete at Lost Valley again next Saturday, March 6th in the Spring Fling Slopestyle.
