WATERVILLE, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's golf team carded a 337 and finished sixth out of eight teams at the 2021 UMaine-Farmington Invitational, held Sunday at the Waterville Country Club.
Neil Larochelle III paced the Beavers with a round of 79 (+9), and finished in a three-way tie for 16th on the individual leaderboard.
Daniel Mickiewicz finished tied for 24th after firing an 85, and Jack Burton was tied for 29th with a round of 86. Kellen True (T-32nd, 87) and Chris Frey (T-36th, 94) rounded out the UMaine-Farmington five in the 18-hole tournament.
Husson University finished atop the leaderboard with a 13-over 293, with the University of New England in second place with a 302 (+22). The Eagles' Jack King took medalist honors with a round of 70 on the par 70, 6026-yard Waterville Country Club course, with teammate Max Woodman finishing one stroke off the pace.
UMaine-Farmington men's golf returns to action this Thursday, Sept. 23, when it competes in the University of Southern Maine Cup at Gorham Country Club.
