Beavers Fall to Thomas on the Road

WATERVILLE, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team fell on the road to Thomas College in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) contest on Saturday morning by a score of 7-0.

Following the loss, the Beavers dropped to 1-11 overall with a record of 0-5 in NECC play. The Terriers improved to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in NECC play.

For the Terriers, Eva-Marie Stevens (Wilton, Maine) tallied a hat-trick to lead the offensive charge. Lauren Blood (Belfast, Maine) tallied a pair of goals, while Julia Reny (Gardiner, Maine) and Kallee Turner (Sanford, Maine) each notched a goal for the Terriers.

For the Beavers, they were able to register two shots, and one on goal. Morgan Towne (Grafton, N.H.) and Erica Johnson tallied the shots for the Beavers. Alicia Bridges made ten saves in goal for the Beavers.

Elise Syphers (Auburn, Maine) and Asia Dube (Brewer, Maine) combined on the shutout for the Terriers with Syphers registering the only save.

The Terriers held a 35-2 advantage in shots, 17-1 in shots on goal, and 17-2 in penalty corners.

UP NEXT

The Beavers will head to Bangor next Sunday, October 30th to take on Husson University in the final game of the regular season. Game time is set for 1 pm.
