CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts – University of Maine at Farmington senior Abshir Abukar turned in the final performance by a UMF student-athlete for the 2021-22 academic year when he competed at Thursday's MIT Final Qualifier track & field meet, held at the Henry G. Steinbrenner Track.

Abukar competed in the 400m hurdles, posting a UMF record time of 58.01 seconds. He shaved over a second off his personal best time of 59.29, and finished fourth in the event at the MIT meet.
