AUBURN, Maine - Competing in her 1st collegiate competition, Hokulani Caroselli came in 3rd place to help pace the Beavers to a 2nd place finish at Lost Valley on Friday evening in a Reynolds Division slalom event under the lights. The Beavers scored 15 place points to take 2nd place with a cumulative time of 3:42.62.
Caroselli finished just 0.65 out of 1st place and 0.17 seconds out of 2nd place. Caroselli finished her two runs in a combined time of 1:12.16 with a pair of runs just 0.02 seconds apart in time.
Lauren Kessen (Sussex, Wisc.) finished 1.12 second behind Caroselli to finish in 4th place overall and 2nd place for the Beavers. Kessen finished her 1st run in 36.83 before dropping down to 36.45 second in her 2nd run for a cumulative time of 1:13.28.
Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) finished her pair of runs in 1:17.18 and took home 8th place. In Mahmood's 1st run she finished in 38.92 and then dropped to 38.26 in her 2nd run.
Saint Joseph's College of Maine was able to claim 1st place with a cumulative time of 3:38.85 and 9 place points. For the Monks they were paced by Madelyn Zordan and Courtney Pingree who finished one and two on the podium. Zordan's cumulative time was 1:11.51 for 1st place while Pingree's was 1:11.99 to finish in 2nd place.

The Beavers will be back on the mountain tomorrow when they compete in both slalom and giant slalom Reynolds Division events at Pleasant Mountain beginning at 10 am.
