HENNIKER, N.H. - The University of Maine at Farmington women's alpine team placed 1st place on Saturday's Reynolds Division slalom event at Pats Peak. The victory for the Beavers marks the fifth 1st place finish of the season to this point.
The Beavers finished with 11 place points and a three-skier cumulative time of 4:46.76.
Hokulani Caroselli placed in 1st place individually with a two-run time of 1:43.70 seconds. Caroselli began her day strong with a 51.65 second 1st run. She followed up her strong 1st run with a solid 2nd run in 52.05 seconds to finish in 1st place by over three full seconds. The two finishes from Caroselli were the two fastest runs on the day.
Lauren Kessen (Sussex, Wisc.) joined Caroselli on the podium with a 2nd place finish. Kessen was extremely consistent in each of her runs, finishing her 1st run in 53.18 seconds and her second run in 53.81 seconds for a cumulative time of 1:46.99.
Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) finished in 8th place overall with a two-run time of 1:56.07. Mahmood started her day with a 58.90 second run. She followed up that run by cutting off over a second and a half in her 2nd run. Mahmood finished her second run in 57.17 seconds.
Red Morse (Southbury, Conn.) finished just 0.58 seconds out of the top ten with a two-run time of 2:01.50. Morse's two runs were only .08 seconds different as she finished her 1st run in 1:00.79 and her second run in 1:00.71.
