BRUNSWICK, Maine - The University of Maine and Farmington men's and women's track and field teams competed in their final regular season meet of their indoor season today at the Lynn Ruddy Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College.

Men's Highlights

Seamus Reeve (Kittery, Maine) grabbed 4th place in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.31 seconds. Reeve finished his preliminary round in 7.41 seconds to make it back for the finals. Reeve finished in 6th place overall in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.99 seconds, just 0.53 seconds out of 1st place. Lucas Tuttle (Framingham, Mass.) finished 10th overall in the 200 meter.

In the 800 meter run Covy Dufort (Wells, Maine) and Justin Castaldo (Scarborough, Maine) took 2nd and 3rd place. Dufort finished with a time of 2:00.28, just 0.71 seconds out of 1st. Castaldo finished in 2:05.15.

Ben Vachon (Portland, Maine) had another strong performance today for the Beavers with a pair of top-five finishes. In the long jump, Vachon placed 3rd with a leap of 6.51 meters. He then finished 4th overall in the triple jump with a mark of 12.67 meters.

Alixx Canwell (Chelsea, Maine) finished 2nd overall in the shot put with a throw that was marked at 14.07 meters. 

Alex Sheran (Nashua, N.H.) and Alex Urszinyi (Lawrenceville, N.J.) each finished inside the top-10 in the weight throw. Sheran finished 7th with a throw of 12.02 meters. Urszinyi finished in 9th with a throw that was marked at 11.21 meters. 

Women's Highlights

In the 60 meter dash, Carrie Burr (Pittsfield, Maine) finished in 9th place with a time of 8.97 seconds, just 0.03 seconds off from returning to finals.

The Beavers had three runners finish inside the top-ten of the 200 meter dash. Kiley Meader (Sidney, Maine) placed 7th with a time of 29.35 seconds. Kennedy Todd (Scarborough, Maine) finished in 9th, finishing in 30.08 seconds. Cara Perry (Stoughton, Mass.) finished in 10th with a time of 30.09 seconds. 

Charlotte Wentworth (Sidney, Maine) took home 1st place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.46. She also clinched a trip to regionals next weekend in Boston. Eve Poteet (Fairhill, Maryland) placed in 5th, finishing in 2:42.32.

In the mile, Anna MacDonald (Scarborough, Maine) finished in sixth place as she finished with a personal best time of 5:45.55.

Abby Minott (Bath, Maine) finished 4th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.35 meters. 

Emily Hargreaves (New Gloucester, Maine) came in 4th place in the weight throw with a throw marked at 11.87 meters. Ilana Lybarger (Brussels, Belgium) placed 8th with a throw of 11.29 meters.
