Robb Grabs Second Gold Medal of the Weekend, Beavers Take 2nd Place in Giant Slalom

BRIDGTON, Maine - First-year Elanore Robb (Woodbury, Minn.) grabbed her second gold medal of the weekend, grabbing 1st place in today's giant slalom event at Pleasant Mountain. As a team, the Beavers placed 2nd overall. Colby College grabbed 1st in the event.

Robb finished with a combined time of 1:28.35 after a pair of stellar runs. In Robb's first run she posted a time of 44.76 seconds and sat in 2nd place. She found a new gear in her second run, jumping down to 43.59 seconds en route to her 1st place finish.

Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine) placed 5th overall, missing out on the podium by just .83 seconds. Caroselli posted a two-run time of 1:32.39. Caroselli's first run was clocked at 46.96 seconds while her second run came in at 45.71 seconds.

Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) grabbed 7th place with a pair of strong runs. Mahmood's first run came in at 46.96 seconds and she posted a 46.37 second run on her second run through the course for a combined time of 1:33.33.

Robb, Caroselli, and Mahmood combined for a time of 4:34.07 in their 2nd place effort.

Tegan Andrew (Goffstown, N.H.) finished just behind Mahmood in 8th place with a two-run time of 1:34.82. Andrew's posted a first run time of 47.52 seconds and a second run time of 47.30 seconds.

UP NEXT

The Beavers head to New Hampshire next weekend. Saturday's slalom event will be hosted at Pats Peak and Sunday's giant slalom event will be held at Mittersill Alpine Resort.
