AUBURN, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington women's alpine team placed 3rd overall in today's slalom event hosted at Lost Valley in Auburn, Maine. Today's race marked the penultimate event of the season, with tomorrow's alpine combined race signaling the end of the regular season. The Beavers scored 15 place points and posted a combined team time of 3:23.96 in their 3rd place effort.
The Reynolds Division held a Mental Health Awareness event at today's race and set up a
GOFUNDME page to support the Tree Street Youth organization in Lewiston. Their mission is to "encourage leadership, learning, exploration, and growth" through a no-cost afterschool program. Please consider donating to this worthy cause!
Sophomore Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine) was remarkably consistent in each of her runs on her way to claiming the bronze medal. Caroselli posted a two-run time of 1:05.27 with a 32.44 second first run and a second run of 32.82 seconds.
Lauren Kessen (Sussex, Wisc.) in her return to competition, placed 8th overall with a two-run time of 1:08.96. Kessen's first run was clocked at 34.18 seconds while her second run came in at 34.78 seconds.
Junior Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) finished just behind Carosellin in 9th place. Mahmood posted a combined time of 1:09.73 in her two runs. She finished her first run in 34.16 seconds before finishing her second run with a time of 35.57 seconds.
The Reynolds Division leading points-getter Elanore Robb (Woodbury, Minn.) sat in 4th place after posting a first run time of 32.45 seconds. But Robb was unable to complete her second run, registering a DNF for the first time this season.

The Beavers will wrap up their regular season tomorrow at Titcomb Mountain. Tomorrow's race will be a combined alpine race with one run of slalom and one run of giant slalom. Tomorrow's race will also be Senior Day.
