Men’s Snowboard Takes 2nd in Slopestyle

LAKE PLACID, New York - The University of Maine at Farmington snowboarding team placed 2nd overall and claimed 41 place points in today's slopestyle event at the USCSA National Championships.

Ezra Mathieu (Lewiston, Maine) finished inside the top-ten, grabbing 9th place overall with his best finals run scoring 58 points. Mathieu scored a 58.33 in his best qualifying run to rank 9th going into the final runs.

Caelan Billings (Sullivan, Maine) finished in 13th place, just outside qualifying for the finals. The top-12 boarders from the qualifying run advanced to the final. Billings scored 53.67 points in his best qualifying run.

Blue Lagoda (Syracuse, New York) placed 19th overall after scoring a 40.33 points in his best qualifying run.

Today's slopestyle wraps up the season for UMF's snowboarding team. The Beavers had a fantastic showing in Lake Placid bringing home plenty of hardware.
