RANGELEY, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's freeski and snowboard teams competed in a USASA Maine Mountain Series Slopestyle event today held at Saddleback Mountain. The event marked day one of a two day event hosted at Saddleback with tomorrow to be a Rail Jam style event.

Top Women's Performances

First-year Natalee McKenzie (Kingfield, Maine) had a pair of great runs, walking away with the first-place finish in the 17-18 year old freeski division. McKenzie's first run was scored a 68.25 with her second run being scored a 70.50. With her total score being the highest score of the two runs, McKenzie finished with one of the best scores of any Beaver on the course.

Senior Tegan Andrew (Goffstown, N.H.) went through just one run, scoring a 50.75. The score for Andrew earned her first place in the 19-22 year old division.

Top Men's Performances

On the snowboard side, first-year Kyle Ingalls (Bowdoin, Maine) recorded a second-place finish, earning the silver medal in the 17-18 year old division. Ingalls best run was scored 29.50.
