WATERVILLE, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington junior Andrew LaFlamme (Nashua, N.H.) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
LaFlamme delivered a standout performance at the Maine State Championship, helping lead the Beavers to a fifth-place team finish. He completed the 8k in 26:33.1, averaging a 5:20 mile pace. LaFlamme placed 11th overall, finishing as the top runner outside of competitors from Bowdoin, Bates, and the University of Maine.
This marks LaFlamme's first career NAC Runner of the Week honor. As a first-year in 2023, he was recognized as NAC Rookie of the Week on four occasions.
