Highlights From Nordic Weekend at Jackson

JACKSON, New Hampshire - The University of Maine at Farmington women's nordic team competed in a pair of races this weekend at the Jackson Ski Touring venue marking their first event in 2026.

As a team on Saturday, Farmington amassed 23 points to take second place out of the USCSA teams competing. There were additional racers at the event including racers from ski clubs, Dartmouth, and Middlebury College amongst others.

Saturday's event was a 10k freestyle discipline and the Beavers were led on the course by senior Ayla Bodach-Turner (East Montpelier, Vermont). Bodach-Turner finished in seventh place but was third out of USCSA competitors. She finished with a time of 30:45 in the race.

Sophomore Kelsey McCrum (Greenbush, Maine) showed great strides and earned a 25th place finish overall and 9th amongst USCSA racers. McCrum finished the race with a time of 40:27.

Senior Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine), who has been a member of the Farmington alpine ski team for the past three seasons, competed in her first collegiate nordic event on Saturday. Caroselli placed 29th overall and 11th out of USCSA racers. She finished the 10k with a time of 43:33.

On Sunday, the Beavers walked away victorious, earning the top spot as a team amongst the USCSA institutions. The event was a 20k race that included several non-USCSA racers that included NENSA Masters as well as Juniors.

The event was set up as a 5k course with the racers completing four loops in total. Bodach-Turner led the way for the Beavers, taking the top spot amongst USCSA racers. Caroselli earned 7th place while McCrum finished in 9th.

In total, the Beavers massed 17 points, being out Smith and Northeastern in 2nd place with 22, and McGill and Clarkson in 4th tied at 25 points.
