CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts - University of Maine at Farmington junior Andrew LaFlamme (Nashua, N.H.) and senior Nate Trussell (Berwick, Maine) delivered phenomenal performances on Friday afternoon at the Harvard Invitational.
LaFlamme set a new program record in the 5,000 meters and provisionally qualified for the NCAA New England Championship after posting a time of 15:17.42. The time was over a 25-second personal best for LaFlamme and topped Justin Castaldo's '25 previous program record, which was set last season, by over seven seconds. LaFlamme went on to earn third overall in the event.
