RUMFORD, Maine - One day after sophomore Rosie St. Cyr (Pownal, Maine) and senior Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine) placed first and third, respectively, the duo put together another successful outing, with St. Cyr topping the podium once again and Caroselli moving up to second overall.
Saint Joseph's College of Maine claimed the team title, as its top three skiers finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. The trio posted a combined time of 5:14.95 and accumulated 12 place points.
With St. Cyr and Caroselli as the only finishers for Farmington, the Beavers were forced to use a ghost time of 2:19.68. With the ghost time added, Farmington finished second overall with a total time of 5:40.40.
St. Cyr was the quickest skier on the course, finishing three full seconds ahead of Caroselli, who placed second. St. Cyr posted a combined time of 1:38.67, recording run times of 48.30 and 50.37 seconds, and was the fastest skier in each run.
Caroselli finished her first run in 48.60 seconds and followed with a second-run time of 53.09 seconds. She closed out the day with a total time of 1:41.69 to bring home the silver medal.
