Billings and Scola Compete at USASA Boardcross Event at Sunday River

NEWRY, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's snowboarding athletes Caelan Billings and Sophia Scola (Portland, Maine) traveled to Sunday River this weekend to compete in a USASA Maine Mountain Series Boardercross event.

With several different age brackets for both genders, Billings and Scola each performed exceptionally well in each of their respective divisions. Billings placed first overall in his division while Scola raced to a second place finish in hers.

A timed event, Billings finished his run in 47.22 seconds while Scola finished with a time of 1:00.64 in her run.
