FARMINGTON, Maine - For the first time in Farmington women's basketball program history, an athlete has been named to the D3Hoops.com All-Region Team, as junior forward Jessica Dow (Saco, Maine) earned Region 1 All-Region Second Team honors after helping lead the Beavers to a NAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007.
Dow was a leader on both ends of the court this season for the Beavers, impacting winning in several different areas. Defensively, Dow is a problem, wreaking havoc on opposing teams' best players as well as their primary ballhandlers. She finished the season averaging 2.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. For her efforts, Dow was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Year.
On the offensive end of the floor, Dow improved as the season progressed. After scoring in double figures in just eight of the first 17 games to start the season, she went on a streak of 11 straight games scoring in double figures as the team found its rhythm down the stretch. During that span, she averaged 16.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 53.8% from the floor.
Dow also possesses a knack for stepping up in the biggest moments and does not shy away from high-level opponents. One of her best games during the regular season came on November 21 as the Beavers hosted the defending NAC Champions, SUNY Cobleskill. Dow dominated on both ends of the floor, finishing with 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, to go along with five rebounds and two steals in Farmington's 75-54 win.
On December 13, Dow helped Farmington defeat Husson University for the first time in 15 seasons with a monster performance of 21 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. She also served as the primary defender on the 2025-26 NAC Player of the Year during the game, holding her to just 5-of-17 shooting from the floor.
Dow scored 20 or more points six times during the season, all of which came against NAC playoff teams. Later in the season, with the Beavers needing a win to keep their hopes of earning the top overall seed in the NAC Tournament alive, Dow delivered a 21-point, 14-rebound performance on the road against VTSU Lyndon to will Farmington to a come-from-behind 82-74 victory. She also added five assists, four steals, and three blocks, continuing to showcase her impact in all facets of the game.
After Farmington dropped its regular season finale at home against Maine Maritime, the Beavers secured the No. 3 seed in the NAC Tournament, setting up a home quarterfinal contest against Lyndon. Dow controlled the game, finishing with 10 points, a season-high eight assists, and five steals while shooting an efficient 5-of-7 from the floor.
Advancing to face Husson in the NAC Semifinals, Dow turned in arguably her best performance of the season. She finished with 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting, grabbed six rebounds, and tied her season-high with six steals. She spearheaded a defensive effort that held the Eagles to just 40 points on 22.2% shooting from the floor, helping Farmington set up a rematch with the Mariners in the NAC Championship.
Dow continued her incredible playoff stretch in the title game, finishing with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor and 7-of-9 from the free throw line, along with seven rebounds and three steals, as the Beavers clinched the title and the NAC's automatic bid into the 2026 NCAA Tournament. She was named NAC Tournament MVP after averaging 17.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 4.7 steals per game across the three contests while shooting an outstanding 70.0% from the field.
Dow was named NAC Player of the Week four times, NAC Defensive Player of the Week three times, and to the New England Women's Basketball Association Team of the Week twice during the season.
