Trussell Places 4th in 60 Meter Hurdles at Tufts

MEDFORD, Massachusetts - University of Maine at Farmington men's track and field standout Nate Trussell (Berwick, Maine) traveled to Tufts University on Saturday to compete in the Tufts National Qualifying Meet in a last stitch effort to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Trussell finished his indoor season on a high-note finishing fourth overall in the event, but unfortunately did not qualify for the National Championships. Trussell finished the race in 8.27 seconds, breaking his own program record en route to his fourth place finish. The time for Trussell is the 46th fastest of any athlete in Division III across the country.

As a team, the meet concluded the 2025-26 indoor season. The Beavers will be back in action On March 19th when they travel to South Carolina to compete in the Alan Connine Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach.
