PORTLAND, Maine - Sophomores Caleb Harvey (Bath, Maine) and Gage Suitter (Bath, Maine) led the way for the Beavers at the 2026 USM Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event held at Riverside Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's event was unlike a traditional collegiate format, following a unique setup in which two-player teams played six holes of best ball, six holes of scramble, and six holes of alternating shot.

Southern Maine produced the top two scoring teams as Ben Aucoin and Jaden Poirier tied for first place with Will Farschon and Carter O'Connell, with both groups posting eight-under 64s.

Beavers Golfers:

Harvey and Suitter, the Morse High School products, carded a one-under-par 71 en route to a tie for eighth place overall.

The first-year duo of Sam Binette (South Paris, Maine) and Andrew Oliver (Lincoln, Maine) performed well in their collegiate debuts, finishing at one-over par with a 73.

Junior Trent Beaudoin (Farmington, Maine) and first-year Ben Wrigley (Farmington, Maine) teamed up to finish 15th overall, posting a 10-over 82.

The Beavers will travel to Point Sebago Golf Course on Wednesday to compete in the John Queenan Memorial, hosted by Saint Joseph's College.
