Women's soccer victorious at Thomas

WATERVILLE -- Liv Irons (York, ME) and Jackie Mrazik (Mount Vernon, ME) each netted a goal as the University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team improved to 7-0 in the North Atlantic Conference with a 2-0 win at Thomas College on Sunday.

The Beavers (9-3 overall) are slated to host Husson College -- the only other unbeaten team in conference play -- on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The Terriers dropped to 6-4-2 (1-4-1). This match was originally scheduled to be played on Sept. 15, but postponed due to inclement weather.

UMF goalkeeper Kerry Kowalczyk (Topsham, ME) finished with four saves in the win. UMF held an 18-4 advantage in shots with Thomas holding a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

Lindsay Thornton recorded eight saves for Thomas.
