Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Colby-Sawyer College shut out the University of Maine at Farmington 2-0 in North Atlantic Conference women's soccer action this afternoon.
The Beavers (3-4-2 overall, 2-2 in NAC) are tabbed to face New England College Sunday at 2 p.m. The Chargers ran their record to 3-0 in the NAC and 7-4 overall.
Colby-Sawyer's Andi Logan (Eliot, Maine) scored what proved to be the game-winner just six minutes into the contest. The goal was her second of the season.
The Chargers added an insurance goal early in the second half. Stephanie Huntley (Woodbury, Conn.) connected with Adrienne Bender (Wakefield, R.I.) who headed the ball past the UMF keeper for her team leading 11th goal of the season. The assist for Huntley was her third of the season.
Shalyn Spencer (Natick, Mass.) earned her fourth shutout of the season and made nine saves in the win.
UMF goalie Beth Lebel (Lewiston, Maine) made seven saves in the loss.
Colby-Sawyer held a 21-12 advantage in shots.
